The Siargao Fullmoon Event stands as a transformative ecotourism initiative—an innovative movement dedicated to safeguarding our island’s natural beauty, advancing local livelihoods, and securing Siargao’s permanent place on the international stage. Integrating comprehensive environmental practices, cultural preservation, and community empowerment, this event is poised to become a cornerstone of sustainable development for our region.

A Vision for Sustainable Development:

Every aspect of the Siargao Fullmoon Event reflects our unwavering commitment to ecological balance, cultural authenticity, and community prosperity:

Native Tree Planting & Wildlife Habitat Restoration • Launching a native tree planting program that restores Siargao’s natural biodiversity. • Collaborating with local universities to protect endangered wildlife and conserve the fragile balance of our land and its wild habitats.

Beach Protection & Land-Based Conservation • Implementing an extensive beach cleanup program that preserves the pristine state of our coastline. • Undertaking conservation measures focused on the natural interplay between our land and coastal ecosystems.

Sustainable Infrastructure & Ecostructure Workshops • Replacing plastic furniture with chairs, tables, and benches crafted from wood cut directly on the land. • Constructing stages and toilet facilities using locally cut bamboo—a tribute to traditional craftsmanship that minimizes environmental impact. • Offering ecostructure workshops that provide hands-on training in sustainable building techniques using natural materials.

Empowering Local Communities • Employing 85 local workers, with prospects to expand up to approximately 270 as the event grows. • Showcasing local artisans by providing a platform for them to display and sell their crafts. • Celebrating our heritage through native dance groups and local musicians while highlighting traditional building and cooking practices that preserve ancestral knowledge.
